Each tree shows its points and links at one fixed size inside the see-through model. Look for points at the joints, links joining the right joints, and each limb on its own branch. Ball sizes are not judged yet. Pick one grade for each numbered tree.
How to read a row (left to right):
Model (reference): the artist's 3D animal.
Artist's skeleton inside model: the bones the artist put inside it to animate it. This is what a good tree should look like. Dots are the artist's joints, grey lines their bones. Red and blue mean nothing for grading: they are an automatic guess of "limb" (red) and "body" (blue) that is wrong in places (the gecko's legs come out blue), so look only at where the dots are. A few artist lines run oddly far (for example from the elephant's shoulder to its foot); those are the artist's helper links, not anatomy.
Tree inside model, three-quarter: one of our trees, all grey, from the same camera as the model.
Tree inside model, side: the same tree from the side.
Compare picture 3 and 4 with picture 2.A. Right: points where the artist has joints (shoulders, elbows, knees, ankles, neck, along the spine and tail), linked the way the artist's bones go, each leg or wing its own branch; you would build the body on it. B. Small mistakes: right overall, but some points off, missing or extra. C. Wrong: a limb missing or joined to another limb, or the tree does not follow the animal.
